Is it Time for a Family Pow-Wow?

Part 2 of 3 - Mom recently took a small tumble. Nothing serious but worrisome. Then she forgot to pay a few bills and received some threatening letters about turning off her power, water, etc. You begin to worry. What do you do? You don’t want to interfere but you don’t want to leave her to her own devices when she obviously needs some assistance.

It might be time for a "family pow-wow"

If so, think about the following questions before you do anything:

  • WHY have a meeting?

  • WHO should attend and WHEN should you have it?

  • HOW will we accomplish what we need to accomplish?

  • FOLLOW UP after the meeting?

  • CONSIDERATIONS:

    • Should the meeting be in writing?

    • Are the goals realistic?

    • How is everyone feeling at the end of the meeting?

    • Can everyone conduct their assigned tasks?

    • Is Mom on board with these decisions?
